Hideki Tojo
1884-1948
Known as "Razor Tojo" within the army for his strict, uncompromising detail attention, and his bureaucratic efficiency. Tojo served constitutionally at the behest of the emperor, but never over saw the control of the crucial power centers. After Japanese surrender and being threatened by occupation authorities, but was tried and hung as a war criminal on December 23, 1948. |
Benito Mussolini
1883-1945
Rose to power in the wake of WWI, forging the paramilitary Fascist movement in 1919, Mussolini became Prime Minister in 1922. The country relied on Hitler, causing them to become allies to help prop up his leadership during WWII. Shortly after the German surrender Italy in 1945, Mussolini was killed. |
Adolf Hitler1889-1945
Hitler rose to power after taking control of the German government by running the national socialist German workers party in 1933. He was a strong believer perfect race and set concentration camps for Jews and minority groups. In 1939 he began WWII by attacking Poland. In 1945 after the discovery of the concentration camps by the Allied soldiers, Hitler committed suicide. |
